HUNTINGTON COUNTY

Huntington County was formed in 1832. It was named for Samuel Huntington, who signed the Declaration of Independence and the Articles of Confederation.^[4] He was also the 7^thPresident of the Continental Congress under the Articles of Confederation.  Served as Governor of Connecticut 1786-1796
